Fudge at 10.5 months!

So it snowed in Charlotte!  It's not TOTALLY uncommon, but I sure don't think natives down here at used to 4 or 5 inches at Christmastime.  Either way, I was thrilled to have a white Christmas.  The snow is quickly starting to melt with the daily sunshine, though.  It's supposed to be 65 degrees on New Years' Day!
This is uncharted territory for me, for sure.
For all of us!

So this is Fudge's first snowfall.  Of course, she was in her element.  I'm always worried that she'll get cold outside, but I think I forget she was made for cold weather.. unlike our little Pomeranian.

Scott took a great picture of Fudge outside posing elegantly.  She's still nuts as ever, but she's growing up!  Don't have an accurate weight on her because it's almost impossible to weigh her on the Wii Fit.
We'll need to get a vet's record soon.

Fudge at 9 months. Part II.

It's such a beautiful day in November!  I can't believe we're two days away from Thanksgiving, and it's 73 degrees out.  Very different than at home up north.  I'm certainly not complaining.

Fudge and I went outside to play with her favorite pink ball, and I got some great shots of her playing in the leaves.  I also got a really cute video.  Oh, and Scott and I were able to successfully weigh her on the Wii Fit last week [after 5 or so failed attempts] and she weighed in around 85 pounds.  Keep it up, Fudge!!

Puppy energy, for sure!

Fudge at 9 months.

Here is Fudge current day.  She was born on February 4th, 2010, so she's just over 9 months now.  We're not completely sure of her weight, as she's getting somewhat difficult to weigh on the Wii Fit!  =)  My guess is somewhere around 85 pounds.. but don't quote me!  We'll post with an updated weight soon.

But here are a few pictures of her modern-day.  Biggest changes I've see so far are her mid-section thickening, her chest broadening, and her head growing in size.

Watching her grow is certainly an adventure.  We hope she'll keep it up!
We want a mammoth!

Fudge at 7 months.

Fudge is steadily growing taller and filling out . She doesn't seem to be getting as large as I had hoped or expected, but maybe it's tough because I see her every day.  The neighborhood kids are amazed by her size, so perhaps I'm biased.  Here's Fudge at 7 months and approximately 72 pounds.

This was on our VERY long move down to Charlotte, NC from Vermont.  20 hours in the car.  Fudge did very well.  She really seems to enjoy the car.

Fudge at 6.5 months.

I can't seem to find photos of Fudge between 4.5 months and 6.5 months.  But I remember it was somewhere around 5 months that she started to get really lanky.  She got really thin around her mid-section, so we started to amp up her food intake.  It took a while before she started to fill out, and she looked pretty scrawny for a month or two.  This is Fudge at 6.5 months.  She weighed approximately 68 pounds.  Still seemingly on target with the "10 pounds per month up to 1 year" rule.
Not my favorite look of hers.. she was definitely in her "awkward adolescent stage".

Fudge at 4.5 months.

Fudge at 4.5 months.  She's now at approximately 44 pounds.  Great shots of her first time at the dog park with the family.  She's put on some weight and gotten furrier.

Crazier than ever.  We can't keep up with her excitement.
What happened to Newfoundlands having low energy?..

Fudge at 3 months.

This is a really cute video of Scott and Fudge playing around in our old yard up in Vermont.  He discovered that if he acts like a bear, Fudge runs away with her tail between her legs.  It's actually a really cute sight.  You can see our Pomeranian, Crumb, in the background towards the end of the short clip.

Fudge was probably 30 pounds by now.  On par with 10 pounds per month.
Some more photos of her at 3 months.
